Teenage boy Avery is invited to his long-time best friend Zoe's family-only school talent show performance. Contemplating the definition of their relationship for the first time, Avery goes online to look up the TikTok trend "Daisy" that was used by his male classmates to tease Zoe and him one day at school. His discovery makes him cancel his plan with Zoe. Yet upon seeing how the violence that the "Daisy" trend advocates hurt his best friend both physically and mentally, Avery must decide whether to comply with the trend's rules or to be a "Daisy" and attend Zoe's dance recital.
