Voicemail-76

Voicemail-76 is a film from my series 'After the tone', a series in which I take voicemails I have received and create self portraits with them. These voicemails consist of bitter and heartfelt messages from significant people in my lives. my intention with this series is to create a window into the personal struggles of my life through a separate perspective.

Wander Wander

Wander

This song inspired me to create a video on how people bottle up their emotions until they eventually fall apart . The first part of Wander is intentionally blurry because it signifies the emotions the character is holding with her. Towards the end it becomes un blurry to signify her emotions all pouring out. The flower is to represent her coming to terms with her imperfection.

Stages of Grief

"Stages of Grief" is a film about a teenage girl named Abby who is dealing with the suicide of her friend Erika. Throughout the film, Abby learns to deal with Grief and loss. I created this film to show that people grieve differently and it is not an easy process to go through but eventually you can and will overcome it.

Remembering Spring Remembering Spring

Remembering Spring

Remembering Spring is about finding hope during the dark winter season when warmer weather and longer days seem distant. As the narrator moves blankly through her days in the winter, as many people do, she encounters the physical embodiment of Spring sitting in her living room. Spring takes her on a dream-like journey through a budding forest, and the narrator rekindles her hope and ability to find beauty in small things. Spring’s outfit is made with homemade dyes created from spinach, red cabbage, blueberries, and turmeric, all of which have been hand-painted onto her clothes to make them appear as natural as possible and to show her connection to the natural world.
